Something shimmers beneath the surface of the water, and suddenly an arm emerges... then another and another. The curious, lively eyes of an octopus peer down at us. With its tentacles, it has come all the way to Bolzano to meet us and tell us so many incredible things: its extraordinary mimicry skills, its surprising intelligence, its brain extending from its head to the ends of its arms. What can these eight tentacles tell us? How do we live as part of a whole? And how can we learn to rethink the value of community together? In KRAKE, the audience encounters three artists and a giant octopus-sculpture created by the Moradavaga collective, exhibited in the NOI Techpark. Set in an unusual location, outside the traditional theatre space that clearly separates art and spectators, this interactive experience allows the public to meet the fascinating sea creature up close. And that's not all: one comes across an angry starfish and a city pigeon who, in a reflective tone, questions the meaning of life, coexistence and communication. After Bolzano, the octopus will continue its journey to Vienna, where it will land at the MuseumsQuartier.
