norbert conrad kaser's entire literary oeuvre consists of 1,000 pages filled with pain, poignancy and accusations. Pages that, despite the four decades that have passed since the author's death, continue to this day to dissect social contradictions with cutting precision and to tell a timeless story about the turmoil of existence. In an attempt to bring together his complete oeuvre—poetry, prose and letters—director Andrea Bernard will transform the Taber farmstead in Valas into the purgatorium kaser in an immersive 12-hour experience. Between readings, scenic installations and musical-actor interventions, this performance will traverse kaser's literary universe: a simmering expression of a rebellious turmoil.
