The Past Ripens in The Future. Cycle 5
Presented by Transart & MUSEION
Performative work presented at TRANSART Festival will be based on the prose-poetry text and actions appealing to the intercrossings the metabolism of material culture, media, politics, and affects. This work contains adapted performative parts of the project for Russian Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennial which discovered the premonition of dictatorship, and performative work commissioned by the Kyiv biennial in 2019 which appealed to the affects of vicarious traumas from weaponized eye-witnessing media. Both works place into non-durational performative work related to the sonic environment and explore connections between bad faith in social media, corporeal selfhoodness and the technology of crypto-dictatorship.
The Caserme will be accessible for the performance installation from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Russian artist presents an unprecedented site-specific project revolving around ideological delusion, surveillance, power and manipulation in social media and new technologies.
