Stalltänze
A stable, a clarinet, and the talented Barbara Maria Neu: these are the ingredients of Stalltänze, a performance that captures a fragment of the daily life of a goat farmer. Clarinetist Neu, who grew up in contact with these animals on a goat farm, analyses the rhythms of this ancient craft, peasant life, and the role of women in an agricultural context. Created with the notes of composer Petra Stump-Linshalm and directed by Maria Sendlhofer, Stalltänze is a show that transforms rural reality into a layered transmedial work of art in which the sounds and movements of tools, materials, machines, and animals cross over and condense in an unprecedented way.
Barbara Maria Neu narrates the everyday life of a goat-breeder with a clarinet, analysing the rhythms of an ancient trade and the role of women in the agricultural context.
